The luxury of time is rarely granted by optical practices these days, and we firmly believe that your appointment should never be rushed. That’s why, at Bottomleys, we are a private Opticians. It allows us the freedom to give you between 45 minutes to an hour for your personalised, in-depth appointment with our well qualified, experienced and friendly Optometrists. This is usually at least double the amount of time offered by the majority of high-street opticians and local Optometrists, alike.
With more time devoted to your needs, we are able to provide an exceptionally thorough service.
Utilising state-of-the-art equipment and the full spectrum of eye test protocols, we pair optical expertise with personalised attention, to provide you with everything you need for perfect vision. We also explain all the results to you in no-nonsense language, so all your questions and concerns are fully answered.

When you join our easy-pay Eye Care Plan, for just £8.00 per month you will have an in-depth eye examination every year, and if you have any eye-related concerns in-between your annual visit, you are most welcome to contact us and we will either see you in practice or arrange a phone appointment, depending on your needs.

Professional and experienced dispensing team
All our team love working with our curated collections of high-quality niche eyewear, sourced from independent frame Artisans around the world. This means you won’t see designer badges on your frames, but be reassured they will fit you well, and suit you and your style brilliantly. Your fabulous frames are then coupled with superb optical lenses to ensure your vision is as good as it can be.
Following on from your time with your Optometrist, one of our passionate and experienced eyewear specialists will help you with the next step of your journey with us. They will be interested to know exactly how you use your glasses and all the different scenarios you find yourself needing optimum vision.
They will again guide you without jargon, making it friendly and fun, until you have discovered your perfect new glasses. It’s our passion to see you smile with a new confidence in eyewear that fits you, suits you and reflects your personality.
